Welcome to DCT Miniature Fashion, we started trading in the autumn of 1992.
My entry into the fashion world started with a three year course at a London college, in dressmaking, pattern cutting, tailoring and millinery with the final emphasis on dressmaking.
For over forty years I worked first for top London westend couture fashion houses, engaged in the constuction of some of the most beautiful dresses. Then after a gap of a few years for starting a family I then worked with a theatrical costumier working for televison and theatre, great fun. Then came miniatures.
When DCT started, the porcelain doll kits were made by the late Joy Parker of Swallowhill dolls who then became a very close friend, but since her sad death in December 2009 we realised that to keep the high standard that we wanted we had to start pouring and painting our own porcelain in the traditional way that Joy had ground into us.
